New England Braiding Company, Inc. is the original manufacturer of Anti-Keystone and AKII mechanical compression packing, the only authorized producer of the patented Anti-Keystone technology. The company is an ISO 9001:2015 certified manufacturer of braided mechanical packing solutions used to seal fluids and gases under a wide range of operating conditions in industrial pumps, valves, agitators, and mixers.
New England Braiding's Anti-Keystone packing is braided in a trapezoid shape when flat so that, upon installation, the cross section becomes square — eliminating the hardened pressure points caused by the keystone effect, creating a better seal, and extending the service life of the shaft, sleeve, and equipment. The company manufactures a complete line of mechanical packings including general service braided packings such as the NEBCO Style 104 AKII Bumblebee Packing for pumps, agitators, and single and double shaft steam and chemical mixers, along with graphite and carbon packings such as the NEBCO Style 7800 AKII exfoliated graphite packing with continuous filament graphite yarn for high temperature self-lubricating service, PTFE packings, aramid packings, and pre-cut die-formed ring sets for fast installation.
