Air Valves

VAG's DUOJET family of automatic air valves manages controlled air release and intake in pipelines during filling, emptying, and normal operation — preventing the pressure surges and air accumulation that disrupt flow and damage equipment. The compact, single-chamber DUOJET design delivers a triple function in one body: air supply while a line empties, air release while it fills, and continuous automatic venting during operation, with a float-stabilized mechanism capable of air-release velocities approaching the speed of sound. DUOJET is available in PN 10/16/25 pressure classes from DN 50 to DN 200, with a DUOJET-P high-performance variant rated 40% higher capacity than standard air valves and a DUOJET AWWA C512 configuration built to North American water utility standards.

For high-volume discharge and surge protection on dams, barrages, and long-distance transmission mains, VAG's spring-loaded air valve with basket strainer provides rapid venting capacity along with an anti-surge variant using a customized orifice plate to control closing speed. ATSCO stocks and specifies VAG air valves for municipal water distribution, wastewater collection, and industrial pipeline applications throughout the Rocky Mountain region.

Hydrants

The VAG NOVA NIRO 365 standpost hydrant is engineered around an encapsulated stem bearing with a permanent lubricant reservoir — protecting the actuating components from deposits and delivering a maintenance-free operating mechanism backed by a backlash-free stem bearing for consistent, reliable operation over decades of service. A double-draining system resists clogging from corrosion and debris, and a double shut-off mechanism provides a safety interlock at the main valve assembly. NOVA NIRO 365 is available in DN80, DN100, and DN150 sizes for municipal fire protection and water distribution networks.

VAG's broader hydrant line includes standpost models with optional drop jackets, historic designs suited for traditional town centers, and underground hydrants including the HYDRUS G and chamber hydrant models — all engineered for minimal operating torque, corrosion resistance, and drinking-water hygiene compliance.
