Posi-flate is the worldwide leader in inflatable seated butterfly valves and is headquartered in St. Paul, Minnesota. The company manufactures a unique line of butterfly valves that use air pressure rather than friction to create a positive seal, resulting in lower operating torque, smaller actuator requirements, less wear, and longer service life than conventional resilient seated butterfly valves.
Posi-flate's inflatable seated butterfly valves are ideally suited for handling dry bulk materials, powders, granules, slurries, and liquids. They are widely used in the cement, pharmaceutical, chemical, food processing, dairy, feed and grain, foundry, plastics, mineral processing, and coal industries. The valves excel in abrasive service handling materials such as sand, feldspar, fly ash, lime, sugar, flour, and other dry granular products that typically reduce valve life. Posi-flate also manufactures double dump valves and gravity diverter valves for dry bulk handling.
Posi-flate valves are available in sizes from 2 inch (50mm) to 24 inch (600mm) and are compatible with both ANSI and metric flanges. A variety of materials of construction are offered, including stainless steel for sanitary applications in food, dairy, and pharmaceutical service. The inflatable seat can be deflated for clean-in-place operations and quickly replaced in the field without removing the valve from the pipeline.
